The Priceless CD-ROM Catalog allows to the viewer to search for a unique product or item.  By simply clicking on the Search button located in the upper center of the screen (see Figure S-1)

The Search function affords two search options.  The first option is to search by unique characteristics originally created from the product database.  Note in Figure S-2, each major description element for the items is listed.  If the viewer isn’t sure what each description element contains or which key words are valid for the description element, the viewer can simply click on the down arrow button and a complete list of each key word found for each description element will be displayed.  The list of key words is automatically generated and compiled from the product database when the catalog was originally created. See Figure S-3 below:

By clicking on any word found in the scrollable list, the selected word will automatically be inserted in the description element as depicted in Figure 3-4.

The viewer can now elect to search for any product in which the type description element contains the word glass, or they can elect to select another description element key word to further define the search.  In this case the viewer will select the Shape description element and insert the word “specialty”

If the viewer is satisfied with the description element keywords they can click on find and all items meeting the criteria of Type:  Glass, Shape:  Specialty will be displayed.  See Figure S-5

In the above example, 40 items meeting the search criteria were found and displayed on the right hand half of the screen.  Each item can be reviewed by using the up/down scroll bar to the right of the items. To preview individual items you can simply click on the thumbnail pictures and a detailed product page will be displayed as seen in Figure S-6.

The item description page for the unique item selected is displayed on the right hand half of the screen and the balance of the related items in the same Category as the selected item are displayed on the left hand side of the screen.

If the viewer had elected to select additional description element keywords the search would have been further defined with a higher probability of the viewer getting closer to the exact product they desired.  Below is an extended example by simply adding the “red” to the color description element and the word “matte” to the Finish description element.  The resulting search would have reduced the number of found items to one.

Direct Search

The Priceless Catalog Search feature will also allow the viewer to find or go directly to the unique item page quickly and easily.  The viewer must first select highlight the Search by Item Order Number radio button and enter the item number in the box.  By then clicking on the Find Button a new search will be conducted as shown in Figure S-8
