The Catalog will manage not only your current order, but it will also manage past orders and incomplete or abandoned orders. The Order Management System (OMS) primary functions are to store orders for future reference, allow the viewer to access and utilize past orders to add to a current order, and to remind customers that they have an order that has not been completed or been abandoned during a previous session.

Abandoned or Incomplete Orders
|

|
|
When the Catalog is first opened by the user. The Order Management System (OMS) Will advise the viewer if the have an abandoned or incompleted order. The following message is displayed and required viewer intervention before proceeding. See OMS-1 for Message.

If the viewer depresses the No option the incomplete order will be discarded and the viewer would be presented with the opening screen. If the viewer selects Yes, the system will display the incomplete order along with any previously saved orders. This screen is pictured below in figure OMS-2.

The above screen shows OMS opening screen. The left hand side of the screen is a list of all orders that have been placed via the catalog. If the catalog uses multiple vendors you will see all orders displayed if the “ALL” option is selected on the vendor selection option. If you wanted to only display a given vendor, you can open up the selection box and highlight the desired vendor. You will see that the second Bead Babe Order has been highlighted (blue area) and in the upper right quarter of the screen the selection order contents are displayed in the “Archived Shopping Cart Contents” section. The lower right quarter displays the contents of the “open” or current shopping cart that was not completed or abandoned during a previous session.

Adding Items From Archived Orders

If you would like to add items or complete order content from the archived orders you can do so. If you would like to add a single item to your open shopping cart you can highlight the desired item in the Archived Shopping Cart Contents screen and simply depress the down arrow. A highlight item (blue highlighting) is pictured in OMS-3

After depressing the arrow, the item will be added to the cart as shown in Figure OMS-4.

In the left-hand box, you can select the specific order and add the ENTIRE order to your current shopping center. First highlight the desired order as pictured in OMS-5.

To move the selected order contents into your current shopping cart you will need to click on the ALL down arrow. You will be presented with an confirmation box that asks if you are sure that you want to add this order to your current shopping cart. Click Yes or No depending on your desire.

Indentifing Specific Items In Any Screen
|
|
|
|
It is often difficult to remember exactly what item is what when you are just looking a screen that lists product numbers. If you double click on ANY product number, in ANY portion of the screen, a product specification window will open and display the detail specifications of the product including the product’s picture, as shown in OMS-8. To remove the Specification Screen, simply depress the BACK button the the screen will disappear.

Changing Quantity Field
|

Quantity or PKG fields for every item listed (highlighted in blue) can be modified by clicking on the individual item quantity. The quantity number is highlighted and a cursor appears. You can then change the quantity required for the item. This option is featured in OMS-9.

Function Buttons

The Archived Shopping Carts (left half of the screen) can be modified by highlighting an individual order and then depressing the Remove Item button a the bottom right portion of the screen. This will remove an individual order from the system. If you depress the Clear All button. ALL orders will be removed from the Archived Shopping Carts.
In the Current Shopping Cart section of the screen (lower right hand side of the screen) individual items can be removed by highlighting the item and depressing the Remove Item button located in the lower right hand screen position. To clear ALL items Current Shopping Cart screen click on Clear All button (bottom of screen on the far right).
When you have completed all activities within the Order Management System, simply click the Done button in the upper right hand corner of the screen and you will be taken to the opening page of the catalog as pictured in OMS-11
