The Info or About button will activate the default web browser on the viewers system and display html based “web” code. By Depressing the Info button, highlighted with red arrow in the picture A-1 below a standard website format will be displayed in the screen as seen in screen shot a-2

The Info feature uses current “browser technology” so anyone creating or authoring for this section of the catalog can use the latest and greatest authoring tools that will output in an HTML format.  This will allow the author to create large web sites with heavy graphic content that normally would not be advisable due to lengthy download times on the internet.

Since this area is basically a “Web site” on CD-ROM. The viewer has full navigation to peruse the presentation data in any sequence that they wish.

It is important to remember that since this is viewed as a web site by the browser any special features or plug-in supported by the browser can be used.  For example, BeadBabe.Com has incorporated a 30+ minute flash movie presentation on their company. This unique presentation utilizes a movie-like presentation with background music and voice-overs. In this case, the movie itself is divided into 8 different sections so the viewer can navigate from section to section at will.

There is generally plenty of room on the disk to be creative without worrying about download timeframes. In the case of BeadBabe.Com their movie only added about 30mb of storage on the CD leaving nearly nearly 600mb for future catalog expansion or “info” expansion.
